  • Limited opening not explained by joint disease; tension-type headache with muscular contribution
  • Orthodontic/appliance history with muscular discomfort; cleared for adjunct care
Manual Scar
  • Healed surgical or injury scars with reduced mobility or sensitivity
  • Scar influencing posture or movement; stable tissue cleared for manual therapy
  • Supportive within broader rehabilitation plans
MPS Scar Therapy
  • Mature scars with ongoing sensitivity; not for areas still healing
  • Screen for pacemaker, seizure history, pregnancy
  • Consider when manual touch is uncomfortable; adjunct, not cosmetic
Concussion
  • Post-acute clients with muscular tension; no red-flag neurological concerns
  • Neck/shoulder strain; low-sensory environment as needed; gentle pacing
